12/11/2013: Cress heads and peg weaving

Two activities today! Cress heads, made from Sawdust with cress seeds sprinkled in the bottom (or top depending on child). These need to be kept damp, I'm looking forward to seeing their hair sprouting over the next week or two.

Cress head with a tail.
Our second activity was peg weaving, a simple way of weaving that can give great results. Whilst not everybody was into weaving they all seemed to enjoy tying themselves up in the thick yarn.

It was a lovely session, the children had fun and it was great to see lots of new faces!
