22/04/2014 Busy, busy!

Dream catcher
We had so much going on that I was exhausted by the end of this session! The older girls made some fabulous dream catchers.

Investigating mass
We had a table set up with lots of things for little hands to investigate. This was inspired by an idea from the blog 'the imagination tree' and I would love to add more bits and pieces to this.
Seed bombs
And talking of little hands they certainly got dirty when making seed bombs.
Shield painting
More shields
But things stayed surprisingly clean when it came to painting shields though probably because many people preferred to decorate with stickers.
Playdoh
Playdoh made it's first outing today and you could tell that it was a novelty. I do wonder how long it will be before the colours start smudging but for this session they stayed pristine.
Our youngest home educators
And a photo that I couldn't resist, our two youngest members having fun.

And next time...

We have our first helter-skelter meeting coming up on the 29th April 2014. If it is wet please do bring games for the hall (soft balls only).

Our next organised activity session is on the 6th May 2014 and this time it is aimed at the adults. Please bring a hobby that you enjoy or would like to share (think 'knit and natter' or, if you prefer, 'stitch 'n' bitch!) We will also have junk modelling for the children as well as the usual toys available.
