11/02/2014: Valentines

Butterfly craft
Thank you everybody who came today. It was a fabulous session, slow to get going but great once everybody made it. I did think that the pouring rain was going to be a downer but it swiftly passed leaving us with the unexpected bonus of a sunny day.

Lots of crafts including:
Butterflies

Flowers

and Hearts

Less popular today was the science, we were looking at how the heart pumps blood around the body. There was but one keen lad but I suspect that it was more the stethoscope than the activity itself that drew him. Clearly gadgets are the way to go!

Pump with valve
This was the first time that we have had a games system set up for the over 10's and it seemed to go down well. Other than that I'm not really sure what the teens got up to, the door to the bar area was kept firmly closed throughout most of the session. But judging by their expressions when leaving and the feedback on facebook it was a success.

We have three more sessions left for this term. The next one is on the Tuesday 4th March, it will probably have a spring theme but we're open to suggestions. This does means that there is quite a long break so we are also hoping to arrange a meet up at Moors Valley Country Park too, details will be on Facebook.
